Who is the course for?
This course is for people who want to learn counselling skills to help others, either in a voluntary or employed capacity.
This course is aimed at people who wish to gain an insight into the nature of counselling, the course gives you a basic understanding of the skills and qualities needed to be an effective helper.
For people who want to develop a deeper awareness self and others.

Entry requirements
There is no previous experience necessary, although you will be required to go through an assessment to establish your suitability for the course.

Progression
Candidates who complete this unit may wish to progress to the CPCAB L2 Certificate in Counselling Skills. (CSK-L2)

Trainer assessed completed portfolio, which is externally verified by the CPCAB
